Edit for the response from the owner; my review was posted 4 years ago! Sunderland city centre based, very spacious, airy, vibrant. Lovely food, great selection along with drinks. Manager is a bit of a let down to the place.

A large spacious pub with plenty of seating areas . Resonable beer prices and friendly bar staff . They were setting up for their first ever cocktail making classes it looked well worth the money ! Worth a visit .

Apparently, according to Alic, this used to be a Yates where my daughter worked in her student days. Now a Craft Union owned bar. No real ale but otherwise a great value destination. A pint of Guinness, pint of Carling and half a Cruzcampo for less than a Guinness in Manchester. Lovely staff. Large open plan corner plot. Boothroyd bear liked my pint of the black stuff. Toilets are DOWNSTAIRS.
